Scat Pack Nitrous Install

Nitrous Outlet Challenger Scat Pack

This long, snowy winter was the perfect time to get the new Nitrous Outlet system all plumbed in.

All in all, the install was straightforward. If we had kept the accessories to a minimum, the wiring wouldn’t have been so tedious. However, we went all out with a dedicated nitrous fuel cell, dual bottle setup, dual openers, dual heaters, dual blow down tubes, a huge purge system, high flow filter, pressure gauge and much more.

Update: We’re now part of Team Nitrous Outlet!

We started off by taking the interior out. This allowed us to run the wires and plumbing from the trunk to the front of the car, all while following the factory wiring harness.

Some of the wires needed to go to the switch panel that is located in the headliner where the sunglass holder used to be. There were too many wires to use a different color for each so a label maker came in handy.

Here’s a picture of the headliner put back together. Razors Edge makes this great little gauge pod and we will do a review of this product soon. I tried to keep everything Nitrous Outlet branded but I just couldn’t pass up this switch panel that fits perfectly in any standard gauge pod hole.

Here’s a short video of the gauges in the car… Never mind the Hellcat logo on the dash. I’ll cover than in a later post and tell you why I can’t get the Scat Pack Bee back.

Here’s a video of the nitrous purge…

Instead of having relays zip tied everywhere, we tore the PDC apart and hardwired the relays right into the factory slots that were empty. It doesn’t get much cleaner than this!

Nitrous Outlet makes a perfect sized fuel cell that tucks away under the hidden compartment next to the brake master cylinder. This has some of the nicest welds I have seen and fits like a glove. This comes with the pump, regulator, and everything else you need to feed your nitrous system. In fact, it’s so nice that we’re giving it its own product review soon. Fits all Hellcat Challengers, Chargers and older LX models as well.

This one is pretty self explanatory. It doesn’t get much more bad ass looking than this!
